Personally, I find the mysterious part of this story to be the paradox presented by India's moral code regarding wildlife. It allows the creation and cross breeding of wildlife and holding wildlife in captivity yet does not allow them to end an animal's life out of compassion and to compensate for an error for which they're wholly responsible anyway. I find this a bit repugnant >(
